Showcasing students creativity and learning

Welcome to my work samples page. Here, you'll find a collection of projects and activities designed to foster engaging and effective learning experiences for young minds.

Engaging with foundational skills

My teaching approach emphasizes learning through play and exploration, which is evident in activities like matching beginning sounds and numbers to objects. For instance, students enjoy "Number and letter exploration" where they find matching uppercase letters for lowercase ones or identify cards with the correct number of objects. These activities build foundational literacy and numeracy skills in a fun, interactive way. I chose these examples because they allow children to learn through play and exploration, which is my teaching style. It allows the students to learn as they play, enabling them to enjoy learning and me to enjoy teaching.

Students were learning to sort colors as they name the picture objects.

Students were learning how to recognize, trace, sound and pronounce the letter (Ss).

Fostering critical thinking and creativity

Beyond basic matching, I incorporate activities that encourage critical thinking and creativity, such as color matching and sorting shapes and sizes. Sensory bins with sand, shaving cream, or colored rice offer opportunities for tracing and fine motor development. Art stations allow children to create and explore freely, while the library corner provides a space for listening to stories or "reading" pictures. Play builds creativity, supports fine and gross motor development, and teaches kids how to collaborate, share, and navigate conflict. I chose these examples because they allow children to learn through play and exploration, which is my teaching style.

Joyful learning in action

The main thing I want someone to understand after looking at my work samples is the dedication I put into creating these engaging learning experiences and the genuine joy my students receive while using them. Activities like exploring life cycles and engaging with alphabet and counting songs are designed to make learning memorable and enjoyable. These examples reflect my commitment to a teaching style that prioritizes student engagement and allows children to thrive through playful exploration. I want my students to enjoy learning.
